"New Dawn (The Nightmare Wars SDS)"
  by Greg Gatsby
  - This Poem is a response to the poem Transcendence (Scattered Dreams Saga) by Greg Gatsby

She came home staggering
With blood on her sleeves, tears in her hands
Draging her heart in the dirt

Welcomed by the thunderous roar of applause
From the citizens of Dreamland
Loud enough to wake the gods
Confetti littered the streets
The band was playing while the people sang and danced
Samurai was crowned a hero
Statues would be built for her
Parades thrown for her
Food suited for royalty
Clothing of only the finest fabrics
Palaces of marble and gold
All was well in Dreamland

But Samurai knew this celebration
Would be short lived
This was just the quiet
Before the inevitable storm

Samurai was stronger now
But she is still flying high
On the turbulant winds of
Love and war
Just pondering the idea that the man she loves
Is now the enemy
She is the savior now
But for how long?
When will the sun finally set
For this valient warrior?
And yet...and yet she wonders

Should she give up
Or will she just keep chasing shadows?

heck..this got to me, I truly feel for samurai lol. The whole idea of how the light would be sensible but she's in love with the darkness..or the shadows. can't wait for the next =)

The path of samurai is truly a tough road to travel. Though I would not expect anything less from a true warrior of the sword. Nice storytelling as usual fellow poet. Keep writing them scribes and I'll keep listening.
