Confusion clouds my mind
drifting in like fog in the night
blinding me without hope in sight
crushing my illusions of life

as my tears fall one last time
death calls out to me and I refuse to hide
like a lovers call I feel him inside
quivers run down my spine
as I feel his presence by my side

making me long for his touch
no afraid as for him I want
to take me away from my pain
to free me from my endless rain
within arms is my escape

as death looks upon me and turns back away
he tells me not yet he'll be back another day
