"Ocean Paradox"
A Tran'Quility and Duice Collaboration

  Duice:

Sitting on a sandy shore right now somewhere not far away is the boy inside of me looking
out at the glistening ocean enjoying the cool breeze blow as I listen to the mellow sounds of
the waves crash and seabirds flying above as I lose myself in endless thought of my future
and what's soon to become...

Arms spread eagle on tip-toes extended reaching out with both hands
Gesturing flight ~ as ~ I ~ sail away in thought from these coarse stony lands
Lifting higher - Higher - - and - - - HIGHER above mountaintop Greenery
Soaring off without conviction ~ SwhhhhhhMmm inhaling deep ~ taking-in plush scenery
A young ribbon in the sky ~ loop-de-loop ~ floating like a child's kite
Feeling the ruffling wind beneath my wings, a rollercoaster with no fright.

Sometimes we gotta let go and take to the skies leaving all troubles behind and just "Fly
birdie Fly" serenading to the winds floating away undefined, lose yourself, have no worries
of the times yet to come, take a breath into your lungs, allow your Spirit to come undone.

One hand beneath me, a fingertip ripples moist dreams from above
Softly streaming over glassy water, an ocean breeze showing love
Beneath my wings worlds dance dart and shimmer as I circle the reef
Oceans photographed by the most famous can't compare what I see
Looking up at bright clear skies engulfing all that's Pristine, I glide by
Astounded as majestic phenomena is dipped and painted as the golden quill flies

  Tran'Quility:

Tip toeing along the shoreline, the little girl inside me wanting to break free. Listening to the waves as they roll crashing at my feet...The winds begging me to take a peek...take a chance, get lost in the clouds. As I hear a voice being carried through their paths telling me just "fly birdie fly".

But still I remain grounded...Stuck here in this reality of {un}realistic imagery I've used to paint this portrait I call life. Enjoying the safety of feeling the wet sand between my toes, while digging for seashells like searching for some hidden answer as to why?....Able to build castles out of sand using my fears and emotions as the foundation, my comfort zone, here it shelters me.

Not ready to paint the skies pretty purples traced in brilliant yellows using the ribbons attached to my wings. Just imagining the blue morning sunrises as Im watching from the sea wall, the ocean I continue to fill with my salty tears.

Allowing sinfully sweet ocean air to wash over my body reminding me why I'm still here. I pull the old photograph from the pocket of my rolled up jeans, and there it is...Soaring through the skies in no particular direction and no place better to be......the birdie that chose to FLY......

  Duice:

Floating downward ~ an airy soft feather Swaying ~ To and Fro from the clouds
Parachuting from the canopy ~ Toes extended ~ wings get cloaked in a shroud
Castaway on floating debris ~ bobbing Ocean waves ~ sail me away from the shore
Adventuring Carefree ~ unaware of trouble brewing ~ nature's opening doors
Tempted by the ~~~~ clarity of sultry waters ~~~~ I dive in ~ in search of a bite
Webbed feet propel every action ~ waddling thru currents ~ as day Soon turns into night
Adult blue whales ~ Gracefully swim beneath ~ admiring ~ I give chase and Pursue
Exploring active depths of un-calm waters ~ Jacques Cousteau of the Blue
Numbed by shadowy specters from a Predator ~ I make haste ~ turned to Prey
Breaking thru the ocean pinnacle ~ Surfacing ~ vigorously I elevate away
Again the wind's beneath my wings ~ taking to heights Energized by views that were seen
Exhilaration of cool wet blues course-thru-my-veins but yet I long for the Greens
Headed home from this vibrant spectacle - Soaring - I sprint for dry land
Briskly flapping thru torrent skies, I hold the strength in my hands
One foot down and soon the second, a boy then lands on the Beach
Breathless ~ looking back at dark horizons and escapades that were reached

Wow. You two said it all , what a collaboration. From darkness into light of loving life for loving's sake , reading the beauty in the natural as signs and metaphors for loving's quest in mankind to see if we can love under the veil of night , follow the light within that lights the life outside. Beautiful write and you two matched so well.
