"Ode to Grandmother"
  by Truessence4u

I wish I could save the shot in my hand
The shot of who you expertly command
I wish I could save the shot in my hand
Of what-knots that symbolize all that
you grasp
I wish I could save the shot in my hand
The shot of where your heart chants
I wish I could save the shot in my hand
Of why those scars that you wore
motivated my past
I wish I could save the shot in my hand of
When you held me close and seranaded me
"last cry" lullabies of worries glance........
I wish I could save the shot in my hand
Where my diploma handshake would be your
personalized autograph

Beautiful ode. It captures how highly you think of your grandmother, depicts in such a subtle sense.. the bond you shared with her. Feelings expressed through this, of missing her.. ah, such a bittersweet tinge to this. I think the repetitive verse adds more to this write, emphasizes how much you wish for her. Plus, great way to end the write.. wishing she could share a poignant moment with you. So lovely.
