The very first day he was transferred to my department
I found myself working beside Doug
I welcomed him and extended my help whenever needed
The first thing this impolite man said to me was:
“I heard you were a Christian. I don’t want to hear anything about it.”
Since I had never introduced myself as a Christian to anyone, I wondered
Who could have told him that?
Throughout the years that we worked together I stayed true to his request –
I never brought up the Bible to Doug
I however did go out of my way to be kind in spite of his foul moods and rude outburst
Oh brother! I believe this man was placed in my life to teach me patience
By the end of our working relationship, can you believe that-
Doug was bringing me little gifts and…HE was asking ME questions about the Bible!

Being a witness isn’t just quoting scriptures-actions speak louder than words!
