"Pain and Joy"
A SpitFire and glo Collaboration

  glo:

the struggle of a little boy with no father
and full-time working mother
he let the street raise him,
the people on Tv , he praise them
he live by two rules
1: always stay strapped
2: don't snitch
so the first time he saw someone get shot and die
he kept his mouth shut,
the times his mom was there, she beat him for being bad
saying that you are just like your dad
ain't it sad
a misguide young man not knowin what to do with time except
rob and kill
so he leaves the dreams of being a lawyer or doctors on still
the boy only 12 years old who can't he hate some much to kill them
"ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME" that his way of healing
now 17 years old
so he sell and smoke the same product
he smoke one that was lace up, now he got a problem
he fein for some strong , all while his life is wrong
he stays on the street, lays on the street
prays on his knees, still feel weak
cause he can't kick the habit,
he need a fix so he reek havoc,
untill one day a snake drug dealer let him have
O.D. was going on in front of him,
so why did he blast him?
we would never know
that boy could never grow
and he can show he true talent
fightin in the worldly desire he couldn't handle it
now his pain is 6 feet deep

  SpitFire:

Cant eat or sleep.
The truth is in the books and I took a peek.
Now I'm hunted with the cries of the weak.
Easy solutions to the things that trouble the masses.
The way we going is the way to Damascas.
We hidden behind movies hating for someone to unmask us.
Cause we want to be what we see on t.v.
Thinking its cute to hear curse words come from Lil Re-Re.
Not thinking the long term effects of what she sees see....
Now its ok to have sex, and smoke weed.
Mama gave her a mini skirt for her cause it looks cute.
Not knowing 30 year old Ray-Ray already been seen how see grew.
Now Lil Re-Re don't know what to do.
My pain invovles my daughter.
Never am I gon lead her to the slaughter.

  glo:

A girl who grew up to be nothing more than her mother
who a crackhead, give head on the corner
sex anywhere for her, called her a organ donor
they lived in a one bedroom house, the girl
slept on the couch, and see men run in and out
so she turn 16, beauty queen, took after her mother looks
her walks mean, she talk that thing, but she look in her books
and found something worth fight for,
straight A's was the game, boys wasn't the thing
and she knows what she was guide toward
graduated top of the class, went to college
now she a Phd and BA and work for more
she knew her life plan and never let her mother get in the way
live in the inner-city, sometimes you go to sleep with worried and wake up with nothing to live for
but her Joy came when she found sometime out of what she saw in her hood.
