"Painful Truth"
  by Bryan Aarmon

Painful Truth

The days of nights together are long gone.
Faint memories and your tear soaked pillow are all that remain.
It is truly a shame, how our love came to an end.
To find out that a friend to you was an enemy to me, and a liar to us both.

I know that lamenting over the mistakes is not what I need.
For no deed, no declaration, no singular
act, exists in this world that would serve
to bring you back.

Call it not a lack of faith, but an
abundence of reality, that makes it clear
to me, that the term "we" will never again
apply to "you" and "I"
