"POISON"
  by cool_lik_nikki

She’s dressed
In a very short dress
Splits up the sides
Showing off more than her thighs
Every man in the room knows
She’s panty-less tonight
But she ignores the stares
As she walks up to the man that catches her eyes
He looks at her and she whispers in his ears
“You’re sexy, do to me what you want
I want to get out of here”
He’s excited and very young-minded
Tells his friends, “Yo…I’m out
Got some lips to be dividing”
They laugh as she switches past
The bouncer looks at her and gasps
“Didn’t I tell you to stay out here?”
She smiles and says, “I’m leaving with my man”
“Well don’t f#cking bring your ass in here again!”
She flicks him off and snatches her lover’s hand
On the road they go and they get to his house
He picks her up to take her to the bedroom
But they never pass the couch
She starts demanding his love right then…right now
Pulling his pants down
Slipping her dress on the ground
She forces her tongue in his mouth
While he’s penetrating her down south
He stops and pulls out
To pull a condom out
But she shoves him back in
He says, “F#ck it…you win”
Keeping her in military position
He grabs her legs
To see that her anklet has her name on it
Miss Desiree
4 hours of 2 drunks making love
He passes out
But she gets up
Staring at him on the floor as she slips on her dress
Out the door she goes
Leaving him naked at rest
It’s the afternoon; he wakes up and notices she left her anklet on the floor
He picks it up, admires it, then puts in the drawer

2 months goes by
And his sister comes over with tears in her eyes
He sits her down and asks what happened
She tells him a friend of hers died
“Her name was Desiree”
He shot a blank look in her eyes
Jumped up and got the anklet off the shelf
“How do you spell her name?”
“D-E-S-I-R-E-E”
He shakes his head, “This can’t be…”
His sister gets up and snatches the anklet
“What are you doing with this?
This is my friend’s!”
He hesitated and then started to speak,
“But…I seen her at the club----”
“She carries a fake I.D.
She’s only 16 like me
And has been thrown out of every bar in the city
She’s been going to them ever since she was 13”
“Well what happened to her sis? How did she pass away?
Did somebody kill her? Did she get hit by a bus or train?”
She looked into her brother’s eyes
“She passed away from AIDS”

i have to agree with skyttles..the ending was a total surprise...this was deep emotional write for me to read..for the writer/poet to grab the attention of the reader while they're getting the message at the same time is a good thing...got to applaud you for u to write something that was true and most likely emotional for you to write..wonderful write to read

Wow the ending surprised me. This piece was beautiful and enchanting. And the fact it was a true story makes the message even more clearer. 10's and definetly a fav!
