Constellations swoon
Moon smiles luminously
wooed
by cooing cricket seranades
i lay
cold
on concrete
street branded with blood
burning with pain
vision flickering
fading betwixt haze and
bleak-black
bullets butchering innards boisterously bellowing agony
The sonic dissonance of dragon's wings
beat
cool air
frightening
focus
leapt from abysmal darkness to
Carribean-water clear in an instant
fear
squeezing heavy heart
Death lay next to me
His face
ghoulishly beautiful
cavernous eyes glaring
an oddly caring smile upon His countenance
He
touched me
my body prone on the street
still
my spirit hovering
cold
something
touched this soul
warming it
caressing
embracing me in Divine glory and
She
waist-length locks
flowing
majestic robes
purple silk ecstasy
starlit eyes glimmering in the night
We
amalgamated
became One soul
returned Life to my broken body
battered and bloody
i
arose
strolled under incandescent streetlight and
scribed
a poem in its pole...
