Unexpectedly...Love...knocked on my door...
Following my sheet rock scribbled syphonies down the project hall...
Stating that the pain in my past drew him to me and he wanted to make a change...
My heart jumped out my chest attempting to run away from words that reflected past memories the same...

...BUT LOVE...STOPPED MY HEART...

Assuring that if I just gave him another chance that he would reconstruct the layers previously ripped apart...
So I threw away the Elmer's and stepped out of my tattered shoes...
Cuz the bond we shared seemed as if it would always be tight as gorilla glue...

...NO LONGER WERE MY SKIES SKETCHED IN BABY BLUE...

Instead they were colored by heartbeats..."pulsating in sync" within my sight...
My days were filled with cotton candy sunrays and fireworks detonated devotion all thru the night...
I swore the stars aligned and spelled out your name and mine spreading to the Milky Way...
But like an eclipse...I was bewildered by your beacon...cuz you never intended to be in my life to stay...

But in reality...there were others that were thirsty to drink you...

That way I could sleep at night knowing my heart reached its final destination...

Weeks went by and my mailbox remained mostly empty amongst an occasional coupon circular...
Bowing my head in shame cuz my friends always did dismiss our love as merely "virtual"
I guess computer key strokes weren't meant to be taken literally...
The bandwith of our love was exceeded the moment I felt like I had "stumbled upon infinity"
Like I said...Love knocked on my door coincidentally...
And committed a strong armed robbery...burglarizing what breath I had left in me...
