History walked on the death toll of ancestry's blood
Bellowing false statements
Mirroring Satan as he
Auctioned off souls..
Mothers once Queen-like and bold,
Fathers dead before their Kingly stories could be told..
Shackled, counted, divided in rainbow classes..
Lighter-skinned house nigs get to cook din
Darker pearls worked in the sun until
Moonlight's eyes start shinin'.
Enemy lines defined by
How far on the tunnel's path you could ride..
Tears dried on the way, babies silently prayed;
Massa wondered if you bought your freedom today..
Sin stayed motionless in moments dowsed with
The blood of dirty whips..
Swollen pride..
Pompous baldheads pouring pain inside--
Relentless cries screaming fear-engulfing alibis..
Our kingdom became blockaded..
Drunk off of the undeniable hell they made it.
Laughter caused secret communion,
And hope-filled reunions sung
Whispers of captivity to the
Humid night..
Presumptions flew high.
Some decided to stay behind,
Believing this time, a bigger piece of the pie
Would be mine..
Safe mode equalled 40 acres and a mule
To feed the future years of a silent slave rule..
This is near and dear to my poetic heart, I'm so glad you did with such class & knowledge as opposed to hate, anger, rage and untruths...well done poet!
Auctioned off souls..
Mothers once Queen-like and bold,
Fathers dead before their Kingly stories could be told.. >>>>OH, HOW I FELT THAT PART IN A DEEP PLACE! ----This was a fabulously fashioned face you've drawn showing every line, crease and wrinkle, every pock-mark and scar!
Our kingdom became blockaded..
Drunk off of the undeniable hell they made it.
Laughter caused secret communion,
And hope-filled reunions sung
Whispers of captivity to the
Humid night..
