Cryptic messages spoken in Queen's English I hope one day you'll attempt to hear this. Have you ever tried to find an image in the swell of a cloud? Or Felt that your existence continuously went unnoticed? I’m just thinking out loud. You don’t hear me now… But I'm here. And I fear that no one sees me unless I lift the hem of my skirt. Expose my feminine essence by negating my human worth. Wonder if you'd value my worthless attempt to be noticed. Will you hear me then? I'm just a soft baby wrapped in a hard woman's frame. With a smile timelessly saved via elementary days. I'm still too shy to show my front teeth Because maybe you'll mistake my innocence for fangs Then you'd really avoid me like the plague. Do you even know my name? Yesterday… I looked up and saw a break in the clouds. I wanted to be that in-between. Then I laughed as the soundtrack of my life began to play. Swooned over a Norah Jones tune- I saw the sun. Wanted so badly to make it good for you- Snapped out of my noon-dream, and realized I was still alone. Wondered if Heaven's instrumental is harmonized in faints or bolds… And questioned why the sun has monopoly over illumination. When everyone and everything wants to be outstanding- I'm no different. I got my Daddy's wide nose. I got my Mama's dark skin. I got my Grandma's thick hair. Got my own sultry voice But I know you don't care. I'm simply another shape in the midst of moving clouds. Just thinking out loud… Do you hear me now? Or Did you purposely miss the soft kisses I blew when the clouds parted? I desperately wanted my lips' movements… To Move Freely Through You But I suspect you refused to even notice me, didn't you?
