"Sometimes"
  by Fly Lyricist

Sometimes I wonder
what it would be like
if my father
were there for me
what it would be like
if he even bothered
to teach me how to ride a bike
or play football
or just loved me at all

Sometimes I wonder
what it would be like
if he taught me how to fight
or how to treat women right
might
I now better understand
what it is to be a man?
or if he encouraged me
to do the best I can
and never say ''I can't''
when I fall
or just loved me at all

Sometimes I wonder
what it would be like
if my father had stayed with my mother
or took care of me,my sister, and my brothers
or just loved us at all

Sometimes I wonder
what it would be like
if I could even call my father
My father.
