And i didn't go running to u willingly cuz the words u spit seemed all too familiar to me...
To me it was absurd to fall in love thru keystrokes and messages on laptop screens...
There were too may times I thought u were simply tryin to sell me a dream...

......AND I WASN'T BUYIN IT.......

Until the day u told me "How could u refuse my love without tryin it"
U handwashed my heart to remove all particles of past loves that were just counterfit...
Took my heart out of the dark and hung it in the sun so it could bask in the rays a lil' bit...
Then proceeded to iron the creases and then welded it into the hole in ur heart to prove we are a perfect fit.

....."WE WASN'T MEANT TO BE...WE JUST HAPPENED"....

And I watch others try to calulate our math and decipher our fractions...
Hoping that if they could just solve our equation...u would give em ur heart in rations...
But see...when it comes to u and me...MC squared doesn't equal E...
We are a hypothesis that is inexplicable...meaning our love is like counting numbers...it goes on to infinity...

.....AT TIMES THE FEELING DOES GET OVERWHELMING....

Cuz sometimes I do live in the past...so I end up back to the old dwelling...
I would hate for this love to be just a patent pending product that u were selling...
Cuz I been lost my receipt the day I gave u my heart so just know "if u break it...u bought it"
It can't take another crack...the value has already been depreciated...so if u let it go...I couldn't even pawn it...

...AND WE'RE CONSTANTLY BEING TESTED....

I just hope u realize how much of myself I have invested...
And heaven knows...I never thought just by reading ur prose...that these feelings would have manifested...
We have our biggest challenge ahead of us and I'm willing to wait in the shadows for as long as the days go...
If it means that eventually I will eternally luxuriate in the light of ur halo...
