"Sweet Victory --Let the Feast Began"
  by Lateefah aka Polyhymnia, Muse of Sacred Song
  - This Poem is a response to the poem The Battle by Medicine Woman aka

Zeus Pictures, Images and Photos

Sweet victory---
tantalizing was the web that
my beloved sister, Erato spun
that glistened in the rays of the
high noon sun; using the
reflecting light as prey to
mesmerize the lustful heart
and unsavory desires of Hades,
lord of hell and the grave.

Enticing him with a stream of
alluring melodies and a voice
that was soft, silky-smooth and sensual;
she drew him into the Valley of Fantasy,
luring him, ‘til he became entangled in
the intricate crosses and zigzags of the
spiral web of Erato: a voice sweeter
than the honeycomb.

Hades forgetting the next battle,
Erato serenaded him into a deep stupor,
becoming entangled and ensnared,
she lured him to his inevitable death;
Zeus, Lord of Thunder declared, “War,”
and sent forth Apollo upon his mighty steed
and they fought ‘til he overcame lord Hades
with the power of his mighty deeds;
Powerless Hades
retreats
to
the
bowels of hell.

Sing Praises aloud O Muses
Lift your voice to the gods for Erato, our
sister, Muse of Love & Erotic Poetry;
she has valiantly spun an erotic song;
Shout victory to Apollo, the Mighty Warrior in battle,
Sing Praises aloud to our father,
Zeus Lord of Thunder;
O Euterpe, Muse of lyric song
make music with the lyre and flute as
Terpsichore, Muse of dance accompanies
with lyre and dance.

Enlighten Mount Olympus O Melpomene,
Muse of Tragedy my beloved sister,
O Calio, muse of history---
Chronicle the history of the battle,
Light up the heavenlies O Qurania, Muse of heaven
and earth with your celestial globe; declare
Zeus' vicory in the firmament of the heavens.

Bring laughter O beloved sister,Thalia
Let our hearts be gladdened for now
we can make ready for the arrival of our
mother, Mnemosyne for the “Feast of Junes,”
Calliope, Muse of epic song write upon the
wax table a beautiful song.

Together, let us once again inspire mortal man with
our gifts of music and song instilling joy
and laughter in his hour of need,
that he might take heed and that he may
recall once again
His Merciful Maker—

Sing praises O ye heavens and earth
fall before the throne of Almighty Zeus,
the most excellent of the gods;
Come now all god and goddesses
prepare for the arrival of Mnemosyne at
the banqueting hall for the “Feast of Junes,”
Come celebrate with music, dance and songs;
O my beloved sisters glad is the house of Zeus.

Bring offerings of milk and honey upon
the holy grounds of Mount Helicon;
Gladden the Great Spirit of our father
Zeus in Olympus;
Shout with the voice of victory,
O clap your hands, O mortal man and
Sing Praises to Zeus,
for the Lord of Thunder
still reigneth.

You presented this with wonder and excitement. I could hear the horns playing and the rise of the piano music.

Exciting words. The battle was action packed. It sounded/read like musical in nature.
