What makes a woman beautiful?
Is looks all you have to say?
Because true beauty is still seen
When superficial looks fade away.
It’s not the way a dress slides over your hips.
It has nothing to do with skin.
It can’t be found in beauty tips
Because true beauty comes from within.
It’s not in designer clothes
Or having custom made shoes
Nor in the car you drive
Or the elaborate house you choose.
A beautiful woman’s spirit
Is full of love and joy
Her words are full of peace
Words that build up and never destroy
It’s her ability to hold things together
When they seem to be falling apart
Its her strength that makes her unmovable
Even though it breaks her heart.
It’s her humility to admit she’s wrong
And her wisdom to make it right
It’s her faith to remain positive
When her day appears to be night
Beauty is not only skin deep
In fact, it’s not about the outward at all
But rather her ability to get up
After each time she falls
There’s beauty in the teenage baby
Who had a baby too
But in the end, beat all statistics
After all that she’s been through
I see beauty in the single chick
That keeps her integrity first
Who will never lower her standards
For a dude that doesn’t know her worth.
A truly beautiful woman
Is worth more that diamonds and pearls.
Her presence can bring healing
And her love can move the world.
True beauty is so uncommon
And rarely seen with the eye
But it has a special power
To change every life that passes it by.
So look in the mirror again
But look a little closer this time
You have to look past the outward
To see the beauty of the woman inside
Yes, I know it’s hard
But because of your strength you made it through
So smile beautiful woman
Because I wrote this poem for you
