"The Bleeding Heart"
  by 3rd_Coast

I never knew a heart could bleed so much
and still sustain life
When you left I thought that
I would bleed to death
But then one day
I met this incredible woman who
Not only loved me back but incredibly
She loved me first.
Hell Loved me before my birth.
Showed me my value that could make someone rich with faith and love,

So, as each day passed I found that
I missed you less
Until one day I didn't miss you at all
With impeccable timing you chose that day
To make your dramatic reappearance
Saying "The biggest mistake I ever made
was to let you go!"

Oh no. The biggest mistake that you ever made
Was to think that I would ever take you back.

i like the end of this...it's a very freeing feeling to be able to let go of a love that was never even really meant to be...
