There's excitement in the air,and music everywhere!
The shiny tinsel, bells, and bows, Mistleto, and goodies in rows!

Snowflakes, gaisty, laughter and fun and presents galore for everyone!

The radiant, bright faces and sparkling eyes,
of children awaiting Sanat's surprise!

Yes, its Christmas, and people are happy and gay,
and looking for friends from far away!

There's a magic in the holidays that's hard to define,
and it seems only to happen at this particular time!

What puzzles me most, is that when it has gone,
why doesn't goodwill and love linger on?

The boredom returns, and we struggle along,
forgetting the joys, and the laughter and song

I wonder if we are changing our ways about Christmas,
and the Holy event that took place?

It's a time to rejoice for our dear Savior's birth,
and to thank Him for giving us life here on earth!

To lose the compassion and love that day is wrong,
and should not be cast away!

Our lives should be calm, and peaceful and bright,
as it was on that glorious starry, night!

When a sweet little babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes,
came to give us His love, and to cleanse all our souls!

Is it asking to much to be grateful to Him,
who gave us salvation and forgives all our sins?

So again may I add, why must holidays end?
Keep on loving, rejoicing -be happy my friend!
