America please lend me your ears for a minute
Here goes the truth there’s no reason to get offended
I turn to see everyone’s looking in my face
When are you going to see that it isn’t all about race
And they say that white and black are two different men
And we’re judged different because of the color of our skin
How many lives do we have to lose?
Before you realize that we have to make a move
And you claim to be different
But killing’s a sin
The pain keeps happening over and over again
It’s a shame so many lives have to come to an end
And you claim that he’s your boy
But you’re killing your friend
And you wonder why people hate us the way that they do
Discriminate against us because you know that it’s true
You’d rather kill before peace is found
Watching the great King’s Dreams just hit the ground
Now back up and ask yourselves are you true
You trying to kill each other over colors; red and blue
Look at us minorities, avoiding our priorities,
It’s plain yet so hard to see
And you wonder why it bother’s me
With all of this drama across the nation
No one cares about the present situation
Until of course you get into a situation
Where you need your education,
Too late there isn’t any time for rest and relaxation
No time for debating, hiding in decoration
Using proper pronunciation, talking false information
About the declaration and the great proclamation
With all of this drama
About problems that bother’s about kids killing kids
And kids catching charges
Where in the world are the “mother’s and fathers”
It might sound crazy but at home is where they start this
They’re somewhere crying, I need my space and
Get out of my face and running from their creation
Of this destructive generation
See that’s the problem with America
We ignore the truth
And when we hear it we really can’t handle the truth
Look at yourselves committing suicide
Jumping off of rooftops
Blowing each other up

We all just need to stop the violence
