They say a man’s not suppose to cry
That’s what’s wrong with the man today
Living up to this philosophy
So they are constantly dying inside
You can’t turn to just anyone
Find that one you trust
Release the things that has you hostage to hurt
Tapping into the vulnerable side of you is okay
Know on my bosom you can surely rest your head
Let the tears fall
So it can soothe the soul
Opening up letting your feelings flow
Holding you tight in your darkest hour
Bringing comfort with just my embrace
Tonight let’s cry together
Take this to another level
Bond on a deeper level
Bringing us closer together
I’ll wipe your eyes
And
You wipe mine
While we hold each other
With candles lit all around
In a tranquil environment
Soft music playing in the background
Both succumbing to vulnerabilities
We never wanted to show another
Tonight can we just comfort each other?
Ignoring all propaganda
Of how men are not suppose to cry
And you just feeling free to finally release the way you secretly longed to
No judgments
Just trusting
Your heart I long to heal
I want us to feel
Taking us on a journey
Of
Truly
Letting go
And
Completely loving
The
Good
Bad
And
The ugly
Tonight can we just cry together?
You and I cuddled up next to each other
I wipe your tears
And
You wipe mine
That to me is love and trust divine
It is okay for men to cry. In this society that we live in, there must be a safe haven where they can feel safe and not judged for showing emotions. I like the haven that you described in this piece.
This was really a nice read.....I have seen two men cry in my lifetime and it hurt me to know that they were hurting. But it let me know that they did trust me enough to let it all out.
