"Thinkin Bout Life"
  by LaLa14

*aint did one of these in a min*

i sit back thinkin
without blinkin
of how this world is sinkin
with each problem linkin
we got enconomy goin down hill
an runnin outta land fills
go to war to steal oil
lookin at how rich people spoiled
look back in to history
why we repeat shit is a mystery
back then it was all about power and greed
when helping each other out is what we need
shit people got kids to feed
but rich people go and buy 3 or 4 houses
to my curiosity this arouses
as many people we got thats poor
no help for them the reason is for?
kids i kno gettin kicked out at 10 and up
parents say its to hard...fuck that...that shit aint wats up
it like they sayin they want they kids dead
just cause they roll they eyes an move their head
i sit back think what the fuck
people wonder why in the struggle were stuck
when things get hard to many people wanna quick
shit grow some balls and stick wit it
get a job other wise you aint worth shit
these kids see there parents strugglin but dont do nothin bout it
wanna sit back and complain
let tears flow like rain
shit get a damn job an help dem out
aint you eva learn thats wat fam is spose to be about
but people dont see it
we got people runnin the streets bout to get defeated
so many goin to jail the jails is neva empty
the man dont care, he just bought a new bently
they get paid off society act greedy and childish
were broke while they live lavish
i kno shit can get hard
but people look as if they wanna quit from the start
people makin promises they cant keep
to this people loose they sleep
crying over the pain
cause shit aint the same
one promise made, one promise broke
for that, on tears people choke
lifes nothin but a stroke
we got back luck, but only cuz we believe
aint shit changin we might as well grieve
i look back, what about martin luther king
1 person in front of others giving a speech
to those who didn't want change he preached
slowly things started to change
more rights and laws is at a range
it takes one person to stand up differently
but no ones ready for that appearently
people in the past who wanted life better
people who stood up like helen keller
she was blind and deaf
but she was outspoken like the rest
she stood up for what she believed in
its takes people to stand up to win
dont like things change em
do somethin about em

simple as that

Yeah the solution sounds very simple however we need people with courage to stand up and raise their voices. I am definitely feeling this write. Much luv from one outstanding poet to another! - "the inspired one" a.k.a. Allen Christopher Harding
