"This Tiny Pond(Inspired by Al Green's"how do u mend a broken heart?")Area25 song inspiration"
  by Group: AREA 25

The rain pounds outside my window
But everyone else sees the sun
They say theres plenty fish in the sea
But I only see a pond of one
Sadly, all I could do is watch your love flow away from me
Now everyone tells me how I need to be
Keep tellin me to just move on
Like I cant still hear our song...
Playing in my head
Like I cant seem to wash your sent from our bed
And God knows I not only machine washed ,but hand scrubed those sheets
Still phantom fragrances invade my senses when I lay down to sleep
Dial your number and hang up before the beep, even though I banished your voice from my head
How can they tell me not to grieve, when forced to bury a love that isnt dead
I remember you said, that only death could break us apart
Never did I imagine you to mean, death in the form of your dying heart
So tell me how do you mend a heart thats so broken?
Tell me how do you keep pride from choking...
And me contemplating calling you everyday
Not caring if your love's pretend...just as long as you stay
Pain got me ready to accept a figment of my imagination
A clone of what we use to be with no hesitation
Ready to make the stage become my life
Just as long as I get to play the role as your wife
These are the thoughts softening a will that I thought as hard
But love can break the strongest of us down, when trying to numb a broken heart.

realism is that you are getting out what hurts the most, no one can tell you how to mend what can't be fixed at this point, i tell you what though, i'll give you the band aide, from my constant broken & lonely heart...hopefully it will help put together what is broken, but i can tell you for certain, laughter heals old wounds, even the ones that are new......i love your ink....i really felt this one deeply....this was an excellent wording...
