"til we meet again ......Doughboy"
  by Syndel

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is
Peace. (Psalm37:37)

I chose this verse for it best represented you,
The God of my understanding does not judge a Man by his shell
But by his heart

There’s a breeze blowing yet it is still and watches me
There’s arrogance in the winds temperament but it soothes my stride
I looked up, I asked God why?

Surely you could have taken someone else
Someone who was not giving you praise or glory
Surely you made a mistake taking this one too early

I stood in the mist of the wind that circled my body
Engulfed my soul
Trying to catch my breath wavering with uncertain control
But I stood there………. as a soldier strong and bold

Your face appeared in the wind
I looked into your eyes, suddenly tears I could no longer hide
My poet my friend you spoke not a word,

I read it in your eyes; you repeated to me what I so often told you
Sorrow endure for the night but joy commeth in the morning
However heavy your burdens are give them to God to shoulder

You smiled; the wind kissed my face,
You faded in the distance but I felt you there
Then you spoke, again repeating what I have said
Over and over again….. Call me I am just a prayer away

I again cried out to God …..Why

He said why you would want to keep him
With me he is free, I heard his plea
I gave him peace

My answer was delivered in the wind
I love you all but I must go home
To sit by my father an help run the throne
You will be absent from the ground
Your reward in heaven a new angel has been found
Rest in peace …………

no comments... I will eave this where it stands....he knows we are missing him, I knwo he's talking to God and asking GOd to calm our hearts... There have been alot of tears shed and their happy tears, but to some of us...the tears will never replace the man or his words....so for all my days... I will look to the sky and continue to praise God for all the beautiful things he has done... You knwo if you need anything you can call on me... I think itold you before that you're here for a reason..n...

rest in peace doughboy. I celebrate the life that I got to know, which was a kind hearted soul that showed love.
