*I accidentally responded to the WRONG poem...I MEANT to respond to
"Revolution Of A Black Love." This response is to IT.*
A perfect piece of poesy
Formed when two great minds
Did fuse and collaborate
To profoundly elaborate
All their wishes, dreams, hopes, and goals
With neither attempting to usurp the controls
In a "Battle of the Sexes"
Tug-o'-War
As many do today
In damaging, retaliating schemes
To even the score
Showing, by example,
How we ALL should strive to relate
Bond, bind, debate, and create
A better legacy for those coming behind us
With similar effort, it could be just so. THUS,
Every Black man and woman should read and HEED
The lesson that lies therein
For, until we do
As a race, we will continue to lose
And the others, by our FORFEIT,
Will continue to win
Yes, we come in all hues and shades
But, we need to rally together like defending crusades
And from dark as night
To the creamy complexion
Of "Nilla Bean"(s)
We've got GLORIOUS potential
Running through our genes
And, indeed, reverberating
Through my heart and soul
It left a resounding thunduh
So, I find it no great "Wonduh"
That this poem
Like a boon from the Muse's heaven
Was found on page 11 and #11.
