"Us"
  by Pink Diamond101

Wipe that white cream off your black face
Bleaching your skin trying to erase
The blessed look of an ancient historical race
Most influential but last in place?

How can you not be proud to have
The world against "Us" makes me laugh
They tell us not to dwell in past
Yet barriers still exist to keep "Us" back

With grants of all the success we need
Blinded by propaganda indeed
A mind is a starving thing to feed
Learn your history, eat up and read

They'll tell you that your skin is whack
Just because their skin will crack
Truth is they know those lame attacks
Are jealousy, because they aren't Black

"Gotta keep your head up" rocked.
A quote from the late poet Tupac
We all should mandate our block
before the electricity of violence, blood spills and causes shock

STOP!

Take a look around
We make ourselves look like clowns
Don't give'em nothing to talk about
Let them see a day without

The niggers they call us
Negroes they call us
Coloreds they call us
Jiggs they call us
Mulies they call us
Mayate's they call us
Nature's mistake they call us

But I am Nubian
From where life began
For the African decendants in this divided land
They call "Us" American but it's a bandstand
Against the Black pride they march again

It is "Us" who's been lynched
and pinched
and still wont flinch
or move an inch

Confederate flags
faces no longer covered with white rags
Everyday people, remember that
The thought process hasn't surpassed
Who the hell is free at last?

Bless you Martin, we see your point
They killed our King to disappoint
his subjects to devour who we appoint
to lead us, only God can free us and anoint

Bless you Malcom for your discipline
You created a lot of proud Black men
who wear their dignity not their sin
I pray someday we rise again

right now we're falling at a steady rate
Already outnumbered by a nation of hate
If a war broke out we wouldn't shake
Our warrior instinct will kick in late
and then, they'll see what a mess we make

We are America's largest consumers
We have the least amount of money but we spend the most out of all baby boomers
Despite the negative rumors
For a race that are so called full of theives, we should have packed up sooner.

Watch America be destitute
Without Black peoples loot
True, there are foreigner's and tourists to boot
But they take their money back to their root
Meaning it's " Us" with the power to to aim and shoot

God have mercy on us all
We've bothered nobody and we stand tall
We shift but we don't move for yall
Without a black man, let's see you profit from basketball

True, they have other races of players
But nobody came to the game to watch THEM! We're no soothsayers
Open a newspaper,or click on your TV, Blacks dominate dramatically, the proof is right there
Even removing from daytime, primetime, Black entertaining shows
Black people knows!
We're not asleep though our eyes are closed
They don't want us looking, while they think, they're sneaking past our nose.

They make good money off our hides
From slavery to modern times
I'll even go back to Egyptian finds
of Napoleon's evidence outlined
In the ruins, African featured broken wide nosed statues proves he's lying.

Black woman and Black man
go hand in hand
who else would understand?
The struggle of our people other than-
"Us".

This was an amazing poem. I am not a black man and certainly not racist but I know there are still many ignorant people out there. It's sad really. Keep being proud of who you are and keep being a poet as well. Sweet scribe.
