The voices of multitudes of personalities
Cry out from the duality of this
War-torn battle-scarred playground.
Angelic entities of good
Fight demonic deities of evil…
Vying for control of my soul…
The frayed edges…years of stress and
Paranoid anxiety…reaching and seeking…
Searching for the light of enlightenment…
Running and hiding from
The threat of impending darkness…
…of doom that could…
“possibly” be looming…

I…the binding…maternal me…
Provisionally protecting the rest of me…
Preventing my soul from coming unraveled…
Softly feminine naturally…yet this tenacity
Stands in the face of adversity and will
Stand victoriously with the strength of an Army.

Yesteryear’s bleeding wounds fill this poetess’ quill…
Poetry so ill spills at rates rapidly unstoppable..
I sacrifice sleep…and am known to possibly forget to eat…
For I will purge the story of my history poetically
Over…
And over…
And over again…
Knowing these words may be read
By just one "me"…and that she
May need to be saved from the sin
Of sacrificing the breath of life…
In the name of love…
See…this tortured soul
Has transformed her wrath
Into humanitarian activism…
Vowing to give voice to victim’s…
Muted by fear…afraid to speak
Into the atmosphere of society…

Laboriously…brick mortared walls were
Constructed ‘round me…built to protect me…
Don’t love easily…therefore when I love…
I love wholeheartedly…sometimes negatively.
I epitomize loving the way they say
A Pisces is supposed to love…I am
Possessive and obsessive…Passionately loving
From the very depths and core of my soul…
Jealousy and envy sometimes taking control.
A woman of double standards with a
Tongue like a two edged sword…
Lips flapping and jaw yapping flinging
Worthless words from the vocabulary
Of the very same ill poetess who
Pens masterpieces…as she falls to pieces.
Then out comes the seductive enchantress
Attempting to eradicate her transgressions
With the charm of the temptress’ ways…
An allure so irresistibly addictive…
Even the strongest of warriors falls to his
Armored knees in attempts to please…

Demons of addiction haunt and taunt me…
I battle them with the armor of
Prayer and scripture daily… billows of
Nicotine filled smoke swallowing me…
Enveloping me… reaching out to me…
Calling my name…and I cry out for
The Lord to please save me… for…

I am an addict…

If it feels good to me…and I like it…
I do it…over and over…and I want it…
More and more…yet another deadly sin…
Gripping it’s evil claws into me…
Leaving bloodied wounds in my soul…
Threatening to fester…without the healing salve
Of some sort of anointing…and I pray…

Begging for repentance…because…
