There are differences about me
That others may consider strange
I write because I have experienced many heartaches and pains

So, instead of booking a flight to Chicago
To be a lamenting guest on the Oprah Show
I pull out my therapy pen and let it flow

There is so much wisdom
That my years of living have thankfully gained
I write to help break the spiritual chains

So instead of becoming a street preacher
Standing on my proverbial soap box
I take my teaching pen and let it talk to the kids on the block

I write because I have dirty laundry to air

So, instead of picking up the phone
To laugh and gossip with my girlfriends
I pour my heart out on my paper with my social pen

I am a comedian who needs to be set free

On the stand-up amateur stage
