You didn't believe me
when I told you that
I made this world in which
we dwell
and just as easily can
I turn your heaven
into your hell
for thinking me stupid
struck by cupid
and under some spell
I chose to stay here
Holding up your universe
on the back of my sacrifices
as you cursed this earth
and sought moons
to orbit around you
that I made center
of all things living
keeping you alive
by constantly forgiving
I let you live
Off my wisdom
that you then spit
like knowledge but to
slick to stick to anyone
and watched it slide
around in the mouths
of babies like milk
as if you were nourishing
those of your ilk
when you
were of my own creation
all along
Did I shape and mold
what you thought you
were in this space
just for the sake
of practice in this place
that has never known
your name
I say again
you didn't believe me
when I told you
no wars are fought here
no tears are collected
to bathe those left unprotected
simply do they puddle up
until I get thirsty
and drink up
your own egomania
from which you suck
when I refuse you food
in time it will be understood
that it was I
that crowned you
and adorned you
in jewels you never knew
existed on the pretense
that I bare so many
I have them to spare
and occasionally
get careless and start
flinging them everywhere
please meet my stare
look me in the eyes
as I tell you that your destiny
had been prescribed along my thighs
hidden in a disguise of
whatever you thought
you were making me feel
thought was making this real
as I watched in amusement
you try to abuse me
from my place of peace
you were never close enough to me
to know from where
the river flowed
or navigate it's currents direction
I simply made waves
to give that impression
fore who I am is wasted on you
what I am
unable to be fathomed
by men like you
but never do you listen
never do you believe
until the last hand
has been plucked from my sleeve
and playing cards
show hearts with no faces
to trump the spades
that til the earth
that you thought you
gave it's worth
by stabbing it repeatedly
you didn't believe me
when I told you
that when I go
so does this little show
and all that makes you think
that you know how it feels
to be a King -
how could you ever?
when never
could you understand
the song I sing
and it was I that harvested
all the fruits you
ever said you'd bring?
don't you think you're something
